Spread the Wellness

Every child is different. Their nutritional needs deserve an individual approach.

Navigating your child’s digestive symptoms, food sensitivities, dietary preferences, and nutritional needs can feel overwhelming. You might be wondering how to understand a microbiome report, which foods to introduce, or how to build routines that work for your family.

The Gut–Brain Journey by WellnessByRosh offers structured, personalised nutritional education and gut health support over six months.

Using a functional medicine framework, we explore your child’s health history, digestive patterns, diet, available blood work, and microbiome report to guide nutritional recommendations. The program combines practical food strategies, fibre guidance, targeted fermented yogurt education, polyphenol-rich juice, and ongoing progress monitoring.

Rather than applying the same protocol to every child, the program focuses on understanding individual needs, introducing appropriate changes gradually, and helping families develop sustainable routines.

Your journey begins with understanding, not guesswork.

Why Explore the Gut–Brain Connection?

The gut and brain communicate through the nervous system, immune signalling, and substances produced by gut microbes. The gut microbiome also contributes to digestion, intestinal barrier function, and the production of metabolites such as short-chain fatty acids.

Children with autism can have varied digestive experiences, including constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, and food selectivity. Research also identifies differences in gut microbiome composition across some autistic populations, although findings vary considerably between individuals.

Understanding your child’s digestive health is one part of supporting their overall wellbeing. It does not mean that gut differences cause autism or that changing the microbiome treats autism.

Our focus is practical: understand your child’s nutritional and digestive needs, identify appropriate areas for support, and monitor how they respond.

What Will Your Family Explore?

1. Understand Your Child’s Individual Health Picture

Start with a detailed health history, an ASD questionnaire, dietary information, symptoms, and available test results. Learn how these details inform a personalised nutritional support plan.

2. Make Sense of the Gut Microbiome

Explore the roles of Bifidobacteria, butyrate-producing bacteria, Akkermansia, Proteobacteria, and other microbial groups discussed in your child’s report. Understand the limitations of microbiome testing and why findings need to be interpreted in context.

3. Build Practical Nutrition Routines

Explore fibre-rich foods, hydration, dietary variety, polyphenol-rich ingredients, and gradual dietary changes. Recommendations take account of your child’s food preferences, sensory needs, nutritional requirements, and tolerance.

4. Learn About Targeted Fermented Foods

Understand how the program’s targeted probiotic yogurt is prepared, how to maintain hygiene and culture quality, and why suitability and safe handling matter. Introduction of probiotic products should be discussed with your child’s paediatrician.

5. Track Progress Meaningfully

Use simple logs to monitor stool patterns, bloating, sleep, dietary tolerance, and other relevant symptoms. Review these observations during the program to guide appropriate adjustments.

6. Develop a Sustainable Family Plan

Turn nutritional guidance into manageable routines that fit your family’s day-to-day life. The final phase focuses on reviewing progress and identifying practical steps for continued support.

More Than a Nutrition Plan: Ongoing Guidance for Parents

You won’t have to navigate the educational material alone. Throughout the program, families receive:

  • Live group Q&A sessions to discuss questions and progress.
  • Weekday WhatsApp support for program-related questions.
  • A personalised nutritional support plan informed by the child’s circumstances.
  • Education on fermentation, food hygiene, fibre, and dietary diversity.
  • Guidance on understanding blood work and microbiome reports.
  • Practical symptom-tracking tools and follow-up reviews.

The program fee covers coaching, educational content, live calls, and WhatsApp support. Supplements, probiotics, starter cultures, and other products are charged separately.

Who Is This Program For?

The Gut–Brain Journey is designed for parents and caregivers of autistic children who want to understand their child’s nutritional and digestive health more clearly.

It may be relevant to families who:

  • Want guidance on constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, or other digestive concerns.
  • Need help navigating food selectivity, dietary variety, and nutritional routines.
  • Want to understand their child’s available blood work or microbiome report.
