Sattu Cacao Laddu / Protein Energy Balls

Healthy, nutritious laddu (oil free, sugar free, gluten free, vegan), made with Sattu (Roasted Bengal grams), which has a low glycemic index, rich in protein. These tiny energy balls will satisfy your sweet cravings without raising your blood sugar level.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Organic Sattu
  • 1 Cup Pitted Medjool Dates ( finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Organic Raw Cocoa Powder
  • 3 tbsp Organic Coconut flakes
  • ¼ Cup Organic Pecan
  • ¼ Cup Organic Brazilian Nuts

Instructions
 

  • Grind Brazilian Nuts, Pecan, and, finely chopped Medjool Dates together in a grinder and make a sticky paste of it. (Any dry fruits can be used)
  • Take Sattu flour in a mixing bowl, add cocoa powder, and mix it well.
  • Add the grinded sticky paste into it with the help of a silicone spatula.
  • Mix all the ingredients well together.
  • Take a small portion, size like a tennis ball, and roll it between your palms to make laddu.
  • Roll the laddu on crushed coconut flakes.
  • your high-protein Sattu-Laddu is ready to eat.
  • Store in a dry glass jar, You can store it for 2-3 weeks (No refrigeration required)

Notes

Sattu-  Sattu is a roasted bengal gram flour. 
Measurements followed for recipe as below.
1 Tsp  =   5 grams
1 Tbsp =  15 grams
1 Cup =  128 grams
